City of Dalles Oregon real estate offers a city that is a city located in Wasco County, Oregon with a population of 12,156 as at the census of 2000.
Known as the end of the Oregon Trail, The Dalles was the location where pioneers loaded their wagons onto rafts or barges and floated down the Columbia and then to the mouth of the Willamette River and then upriver to Oregon City.
The city was first incorporated by the Oregon Territorial Government in 1857 as ?alles City? and was made the county seat shortly thereafter.
